Home Gyms – How To Build Them
It sounds crazy, but home gyms are still a rage. Many users convert their rooms in order to fit their fitness equipment and create a good home gym in their home. It’s because of the convenience home gyms offer is why they are so popular. Before you go to store and buy the home gym, figure out what kind of budget you have, what do you need for your exercising and how much space you have.
Be careful not to cram your home gym with all sorts of unncesarry equipment. If you are trying to lose some weight, then you have to do cardio exercising routines with fitness equipment like elliptical trainers and treadmills. If you need to do strength training, then a Smith machine which costs $650 is apt. The cost of building a multi-gym to tone-up muscles can cost a cool $4800 upwards. By this I mean on several things like ventilation, flooring, lighting and music.
The minimum area needed to build a home gym is about 150 square feet. Some space for moving around should be present too. If you have a 200 sq feet area, you can include a Jacuzzi as well. Besides fitnes equipment like plate machines, treadmills and elliptical trainers, you should have some resistance bands, dumbblells and free weights. I suggest you stay away from the basement if you are building your home gym.
Be aware that flooring is an important part when you are building your own home gym. Choose between two types of flooring, vinly and rubber. All impacts will be cushioned by rubber flooring, even falling. You will be comfortable with running, walking and standing in difference to the carpeted flooring or tiled flooring. Bear in mind that a rubber floor will reduce the impact you create will exercising. Bear in mind that the rubber flooring also has advantages like easy cleaning and maintaining. Vinyl flooring cuts down on the noise, is stain resistant, is hygienic and can be easily cleaned.
